Anita L. Nelson, M.D.
Dr. Nelson is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of
California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is on staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical
Center in Torrance, California and serves as Chief, Women's Health Care
Programs. She is also the Medical Director for the Research Division of
the California Family Health Council. Most of Dr. Nelson's research
efforts have been in the areas of contraception, menopause and
gynecologic infection. She is principal investigator or investigator on
several National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Child
Health and Human Development (NIH/NICHHD) research grants as well as
commercially funded studies. Dr. Nelson has published 115 articles for
professional journals, 11 books, 48 chapters and 97 abstracts.
Dr. Nelson received her medical degree from the UCLA School of
Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training at
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

Johanna Hofmann, Licensed Acupuncturist

Johanna Hofmann, LAc has been a practitioner of Traditional Chinese
Medicine for the past 11 years, even though she has been interested in
the field for much longer than that. She received her Masters degree
in Acupuncture and Certificate in Herbal Medicine from the Northwest
Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle. She is
nationally board certified from the National Certification Commission
for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has previously
taught at NIAOM and Bastyr University in Seattle. She is originally
from Germany and now resides and practices in Washington State.

Dr. Kobylinski, Physician and Medical Director of Lindora
Dr. Kobylinski is currently Medical Director for Lindora, a company which provides a medically supervised weight loss program to several thousand patients daily in clinics throughout Southern California. She manages a medical staff of more than 35 nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians and oversees FDA research. Dr. Kobylinski also remains active as a family physician and as an educator for medical residents and students. Her focus is on weight loss, wellness and prevention, taking a whole body approach to healthcare. Dr. Kobylinski’s career has also included 7 years in the United States Navy, urgent care medicine and private practice in Laguna Hills, California. She remains on staff at Saddleback Memorial, Mission and South Coast hospitals in southern Orange County.

Teresa Proctor KraegelTeresa Proctor Kraegel is licensed as an
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and has a Masters in
Counseling/Psychology. She is nationally certified as a Clinical Nurse
Specialist in Psychiatry/Mental Health. With over 30 years experience
in the U.S. and Asia in many areas of medicine, she has also maintained
a private psychotherapy practice in the Washington, D.C. metro area
since 1987. In addition to her experience in inpatient and outpatient
psychiatric care, crisis management and integrative family therapy,
Teresa is a consultant and presenter internationally on women's health
and wellness issues, stress and lifestyle management and managing
change. She is the founder and director of Transition Counseling
Services.
Facilitated by a registered nurse with a sense of humor and a baby
boomer birth date, WITTY tm (Women in Terrific Transition Years) groups
and retreats, offered through Transition Counseling Services, offer fun and educational support for women transitioning from youth to maturity. |
